UL Network Triage — Keep / Freeze / Abandon

UL Network Triage

Keep · Freeze · Abandon — replaces the May–Sep master schedule · June 2026
The one-paragraph version: The pyramid collapses to a flat layer. Keep the handful of properties with real content, freeze the redundant T2s in place (content stays up, nothing new added), abandon every T3 shell without touching it, and consolidate 13 satellite domains down to 3. All reclaimed hours go to California city pages and real outreach links.

1 · Owned Domains (the T1 layer) — consolidate 13 → 3

Verdict per domain. “Park” = keep registration, no content, no inbound links, no decisions needed today. “301” = redirect to the target shown.

Domain Verdict Reasoning / Action
accidentallandlord.org KEEP · BUILD Your best satellite — already has blog, FAQ, resources expansion underway. Continue building as a genuinely standalone site. 2–3 contextual links to UL hubs max, varied anchors, plus outbound links to HUD/courts/statutes.
smarttenantscreening.org KEEP · RECLASSIFY This is a real companion site, not a link satellite. Treat it as a second money site: stop pointing T2/T3 properties at it. It should earn links the same way UL does.
rentalpropertyplaybook.org KEEP (provisional) The one investing satellite worth keeping — it has a matching WP.com feeder with real posts. Only survives if you give it standalone content; otherwise demote to Park.
undergroundlandlord.net 301 → .com Exact brand variant. Zero insulation value — one-glance ownership match. Redirect for brand protection, never a link target again.
undergroundlandlord.info 301 → .com Same as .net. Redirect and forget.
tenantsscreening.org PARK Redundant with smarttenantscreening.org. Near-duplicate naming is itself a network footprint.
screensmartrentals.com PARK Third screening domain — redundant. Park it.
landlordevictionhelp.org PARK All three eviction satellites compete with your own money pages. Eviction is UL’s core topic — every eviction link should point at undergroundlandlord.com hubs directly, not at buffer domains. Park all three; revisit only if one ever deserves to become a real standalone tool.
eviction-process.com PARK
evictionstepbystep.com PARK
buynholdinvestor.com PARK Redundant with rentalpropertyplaybook.org. One investing satellite is enough.
wholesalepropertyguide.org PARK Same. Also wholesaling content has NC HB 797 compliance landmines — not worth a thin site.
landlordtools.org PARK Overlaps accidentallandlord.org’s lane. Fold any good content ideas into accidentallandlord.org instead.

2 · T2 Properties — KEEP (one per group, the ones with real posts)

These stay alive: ~1 real post/month each, so they read as small active blogs rather than abandoned shells. Provisional picks based on which have actual titled content — swap within a group if you know a better candidate.

Group Property Why this one
A newtenantscreeningtype (Blogger) Has real articles (“Stop Screening Tenants Like It’s 2005”) and already carries the live deep link to the smarttenantscreening.org scoring framework — that’s a legitimate contextual link worth preserving.
B ncrentallaws (Blogger) The prototype for the state-microsite strategy. Upgrade it: 8–10 NC-specific pages (magistrate court walkthroughs, deposit math, county quirks), outbound links to NCGA/NC courts, 2–3 links to the UL NC hub. This becomes the template for future state sites.
B landlordevictiondata (WP.com) Second B keeper because it maps to a real asset — your eviction-records data. Publish actual findings from the county scraping (filing volumes, top filers, Rock Hill/Fort Mill concentration). Data content is the most linkable thing you own.
C rentalpropertyplaybook (WP.com) Multiple real posts, feeds the one investing satellite you’re keeping. Lives or dies with rentalpropertyplaybook.org.
D landlordoperationsguide (WP.com) Has real titled content (“Record Keeping Basics…”). Retarget its links from landlordtools.org (parked) to accidentallandlord.org and UL hubs.

3 · T2 Properties — FREEZE (content stays, nothing new)

No new posts, no new links, no deletions. Deleting dozens of sites at once is its own footprint — just walk away. Everything in the schedule not named in Section 2 lands here, including:

Group Frozen properties

4 · T3 Shells — ABANDON ALL (no labor spent)

Every numbered T3 (001–081) on Penzu, Wakelet, Telegraph, LiveJournal, Over-blog, Site123, Strikingly, Jimdo, Notion, HubPages, Weebly, Wix, Tumblr, FC2, Blogger, Google Sites.

Don’t delete them, don’t fix them, don’t post to them. They link only to T2s, most are barely indexed, and Google is already discounting this pattern. Hours spent dismantling 80 shells buy you nothing — the win is the hours you stop spending. Cancel every remaining 🏗 T3 weekend build on the calendar (June 6 onward), including the four scheduled this weekend.

5 · Active Link Work — the only removal/retargeting labor worth doing

Short list. The principle: clean up links touching real money properties; ignore links between disposable layers.

6 · What replaces the calendar

UL Network · Triage Document · June 2026 · noindex · supersedes May 12 – Sep 01 master schedule
